                                                 Jigging Rods

I try to keep a couple in stock but usually they are made to order. I use 2 basic colors and a metallic trim band for my shelf rods, but will do the colors of your choice. I can make any of these rods with an "Acid Wrap" but will need to change the type of guides for this, so please call for info. All rods have a continuous under wrap and doubled top wraps. By doubling the top wrap the cracking by the guide feet is practically eliminated.

To build your rod takes about 3-4 weeks to complete and ship. Prices are changing daily due to material costs so please use these as estimated prices and I will give you an exact quote via phone or email.

This year I'm adding a very light E-Glass jigging rod to my collection of  "Shelf Rods". It is made of a Glass 10' blank cut down to 8'-0" with a spiral finish sort of like the old "Ugly-Stick" blanks. I don't have the actual weight of the blank but it is lighter than any of the other jigging rods I've built. It is a large diameter thin walled blank that gives it a true slow action. I started using this rod last summer and it has turned into my main rod. It has a 16" Hypalon rear grip with a Fuji standard graphite seat and a 10" tapered Hypalon front grip. I wrap 5 Fuji BLRXLG guides and an American Tackle #28 top. Line rating is 50lb. with a diamond wrap on 4 axis. Call for colors as these are usually made to order.

   $265.00*

I do a  medium Jigging rod on a 1 piece 8'-0" Seeker 775-8 blank. This blank is rated for line 50 - 100 lbs. and a medium action. I don't have the actual weight of the blank but it is a heavier blank than most. I use  Hypalon grips, a #20 American Tackle top, 5 Fuji BHNNG guides all under wrapped, Fuji heavy duty reel seat, and a diamond butt wrap on 4 axis. I use a light blue under wrap with gold trim bands and a dark blue wrap.

    $285.00*

I've added a true "Meat Stick" to my shelf rods. This is a Heavy Duty rod that will stand up to almost anything the Gulf of Maine has to toss at it. I've wrapped it on an imported E-Glass surf blank cut down to 8'-0" . It is a medium action rated at 50 lbs. before the cut. I use  Hypalon grips, a #25 American Tackle top, 5 American Tackle triple foot guides all under wrapped, and a Fuji FPSD28 seat. I underwrap with black, use metallic silver trim bands and red wraps, with a diamond butt wrap on 4 axis. This rod has a large diameter on the butt and may not fit in some rod holders.

    $285.00*

New is a "Classic" Honey Lamiglass this year. I'm using a SB1215M E-Glass blank cut to 8'-0". It has a #26 Fuji RST SIC top, with 5 Fuji RSG SIC guides,  Fuji heavy duty reel seat, and Hypalon grips.  Standard wrap is grey underwrap, cobalt blue wraps with gold trim bands, and a diamond butt wrap on 4 axis. Please call for availability of these blanks.

    $375.00*

My two best are  a  toss up between a St. Croix SCII Graphite 2M79XXXHF  or a  Lamiglass GSB1201M Graphite cut to 8'-0".  I use a #14 or #18 HGST SIC top, 6 new Fuji HBSG SIC  guides in gun smoke grey, a Fuji heavy duty reel seat, and Hypalon grips. Please call for colors as these will be made to order. This rod can be done in either conventional or "Acid" wrap. A real nice rod!

    $435.00*

*Price includes shipping to the lower 48 states only.

Please contact me for a firm quote as material costs change daily.
